Apologies, Apologies! If you've been tuning in and I wasn't here, I'm deeply sorry! After 8 crazy days in Disney World, we returned home to a family illness, then I contracted a sinus infection this weekend! I've put together a new Bargain Meal of the Week for you and will start working on the Price Chopper Price Book soon!
London Broil and Grilled Veggies
1 lb of London Broil $1.99/lb
Kraft BBQ sauce $0.99 (Use $1 off coupon from the Kraft website to get it free!)
Kraft Salad Dressing $1.69 (Use $1 off coupon from the Kraft website, get it for $0.69)
Green Squash $1.29/lb, get 1 = $0.75
Green Peppers $1.69/lb, get 2 = $1.00
1/2 Vidalia Onion $0.99/lb = $0.50
Loaf of Italian Bread $0.99
Marinate London Broil for about 30 minutes in Kraft Salad Dressing. Try Catalina, Italian, Tuscan House Italian or Sun-dried Tomato. Cut up onion, squash and green peppers and marinate those in dressing as well.
Put London Broil on the grill about 20 minutes before the veggies. Wrap veggies in foil and place foil pack on the grill. Cook until it's done the way you like it (if you like vegetables crisper, cook less time). About 10 minutes before removing London Broil, add bbq sauce and let warm through. Serve with Italian Bread and Butter.
Total cost with coupons should be about $6.00.
Here's a quickie meal for a Week-Night Rush Dinner:
French Bread Pizzas (with Italian Bread)
2 Loaves of Italian Bread $0.99 = $1.98
1 can of Furmano's Pizza Sauce $1.29
8 oz pack of Price Chopper Shredded Mozzarella $1.99
1 lb bag of baby carrots $1.50
Slice bread through the middle and across for 4 pieces in each loaf. Top with sauce and cheese and italian seasons/grated parmesan if you have some on hand. You can pop them in your toaster oven for about 7/8 minutes until cheese is melted. Or put them on a cookie sheet in the oven at 350 degrees for about the same amount of time. Serve with baby carrots.
Total cost = about $6.50
